Who We Are
Aspirus Hospice is a caring team dedicated to helping individuals and families find comfort, dignity, and peace during life’s most tender moments. Since 1979, we’ve provided hospice care throughout north central Wisconsin. We are guided by compassion, respect, and a belief that every person deserves to live as comfortably as possible.
Our volunteers are the heart of our mission. Each brings their own life experiences, empathy, and warmth to the bedside. Volunteers offer companionship, a listening ear, and gentle support when it matters most. Together, we create a circle of care that honors both patients and families.
What We Do
Hospice care is about more than medicine. It’s about presence, comfort, and connection. Our interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers works hand‑in‑hand to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of those we serve.
Volunteers help by:
Providing companionship: visiting, listening, and sharing stories
Supporting families: offering reassurance and a helping hand
Assisting with daily tasks: from errands to simple gestures of care
Creating comfort: helping patients feel seen, valued, and at peace
Every act of service, no matter how small, brings light to someone’s day. Aspirus Hospice volunteers make a difference simply by showing up with kindness
