Do you enjoy working behind the scenes, creating beautiful spaces, and being part of a team?

WMOCA is seeking Event Set-Up Volunteers to help prepare our historic ballroom for weddings, galas, fundraisers, celebrations, and community events. This hands-on volunteer opportunity is perfect for individuals, families, student groups, service clubs, corporate volunteer teams, and anyone who enjoys seeing a space transformed for a special occasion.

Most set-up shifts take place during the day, usually one to three days before an event. Volunteers can sign up as their schedules allow.

Depending on the event, volunteers may assist with:

Arranging floor plans and event layouts

Setting tables with linens, place settings, and décor

Polishing glassware, silverware, and serving pieces

Ironing and preparing tablecloths and napkins

Decorating event spaces

Preparing welcome and registration areas

Assisting with event signage and displays

Organizing supplies and materials

Helping ensure the venue looks its best before guests arrive

No prior event experience is required. Training and direction will be provided.

A positive attitude and willingness to help

Dependability and teamwork

Attention to detail

Ability to follow set-up instructions and event plans

Comfort performing light physical tasks if desired

Pride in creating beautiful, welcoming spaces

Perfect For
