Opportunity Overview
Join Habitat for Humanity of Wausau as part of our Wednesday Warriors team. Volunteers help fuel Habitat’s mission by supporting donation pickups, engaging with donors, and ensuring quality items reach the ReStore — all of which directly supports affordable housing in our community.
What You’ll Do
Drive or assist with donation pickup routes using a 16’ box truck
Load, secure, and unload donated items safely
Engage with donors and share Habitat’s mission
Answer basic donation questions
Deliver and organize items at the ReStore
Follow safety procedures and communicate with ReStore staff
Requirements
Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
Ability to drive a 14–20’ box truck (or assist if not driving)
Lift/carry 50+ lbs and handle stairs, weather, and physical tasks
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Forklift experience helpful but not required
Ability to use carts and pallet jacks
When You’re Needed
Minimum 4‑hour shift
Wednesdays: 8am–12pm or 12pm–4pm
Training & Support
Hands‑on truck and safety training
Ongoing staff support
Clear procedures and guidance
