Want to stay active while making a real impact on others?
If you love staying active and prefer making an impact without being in the spotlight, this is your moment. Our behind‑the‑scenes volunteers are the hidden heroes who make it possible for essential medical equipment to reach people who truly need it.
Each week, volunteers help transform donated items by cleaning, sanitizing, reassembling, and prepping them for their next home. This is hands-on, meaningful work that directly supports someone’s health, comfort, and independence.
Key Activities: Sanitizing, reassembling, and cataloging durable medical equipment.
- This includes loading and unloading equipment into our sanitizing machine
- Reassembling equipment
- Shelving items once dry
No computer skills are needed!
Duration:
- Ideally, volunteers would find a 2-3-hour shift that fits best within their schedule during our regular business hours.
What to wear:
- Dress comfortably! You may get a little damp while handling washed equipment and there will be plenty of bending, twisting and lifting.
Physical requirements:
- Able to lift 50lbs.
