Help local youth see what’s possible. As a Celebrity Chat or Career Tour Volunteer, you’ll share your career journey and give Boys & Girls Club members a real look at the world of work — either by visiting the Club or welcoming youth into your workplace. Your story could be the spark that shapes a young person’s future.
Two Ways to Get Involved
Celebrity Chat (You Visit Us): Join us for a 30–45 minute conversation about your path, your day‑to‑day, and what you’ve learned along the way. No slides or polished presentation needed — just authenticity.
Career Tour (We Visit You): Host a behind‑the‑scenes tour of your workplace. Introduce youth to your team and show what a career in your field really looks like.
Who We’re Looking For
Professionals from any industry — healthcare, trades, arts, business, athletics, and more. No public speaking experience required. If you have a story, you have something meaningful to offer.
Why Volunteer With Us
Many youth have never met someone working in their dream field. They haven’t seen those workplaces, heard the winding paths people take, or had someone look them in the eye and say “you could do this too.” One conversation or tour can expand their sense of possibility and help them imagine a future they didn’t know existed.
Time Commitment
- Celebrity Chats: 30–45 minutes
- Career Tours: ~45–60 minutes, flexible and tailored to your workplace
Both are one‑time commitments with the option to return anytime.
Requirements
- Must be 18+
- Background check required for repeat Club visitors
- Brief coordination with staff to schedule and plan
