Your guidance helps students feel supported and motivated during their school day. As a School‑Based Mentor (“Big”), you’ll meet with your mentee at school to read, play games, or simply talk — creating a safe space for encouragement and growth.

Where: Local schools in Marathon County, Abbotsford, and Merrill Area When: During school hours — flexible scheduling available

What You’ll Do

  • Meet regularly with your mentee at school

  • Engage in activities like reading, homework help, or board games

  • Offer encouragement and a listening ear

  • Desire to make learning feel positive and personal

Getting Started

  • Complete an application and in‑person interview

  • Attend orientation and child‑safety training

  • Begin mentoring a student who’s eager for connection
