Volunteer: Lend a Hand, Lead a Horse and Join the Herd!(Nonprofit Training Model Only)

Silver Hooves Healing Ranch is seeking caring and reliable volunteers to help support our equine-assisted programs and daily horse care. Volunteers play an important role in helping us provide therapeutic riding and mentorship programs for children, adults with disabilities, veterans, and community members.

What your time will look like:

Two-hour shift available Monday-Friday, 9am-4:30 pmFlexible!  When signing up, indicate your weekday(s) preferences, i.e. Thursday from 2-4pm.No weekly commitment required.  You can try different roles to find your best fit!

Key activities for this role include but are not limited to:

Horse care: brushing, feeding, walking, saddlingFacility upkeep: cleaning stalls, raking yard, mowing lawn, cleaning stock tanksSupporting participants: mounting the horse, riding, leading the horse

Requirements

No horse experience is required—we provide training and guidance for all volunteers.Must be 16 years old or olderMust be able to lift or move 25 lbs.+Standing and walking requiredWear close-toe shoesOutdoor activity.  Dress for all weather conditions
