Donations Ambassador – Truck Driver/Assistant (Volunteer)

Position Overview

Support donation pickups and deliveries for Habitat for Humanity of Wausau Drive/assist with a 16’ box truck Engage with donors and share Habitat’s mission Work as part of a team to serve the community

Key Responsibilities

Drive and/or assist with donation pickup routes Safely load, secure, and unload donated items Interact professionally with donors Answer basic questions about donations and Habitat’s work Deliver and organize items at the ReStore Follow safety procedures and report to ReStore management

Requirements

Valid driver’s license & clean driving record Ability to drive a 14–20’ box truck Lift/carry 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks Comfortable with stairs, lifting, and varying weather Strong communication and teamwork skills Forklift experience (helpful, not required) Ability to use carts and pallet jacks

Availability

Minimum 4-hour shift Wednesdays: 8am–12pm or 12pm–4pm

Training & Support

Hands-on training provided (truck, safety, donor interaction) Ongoing staff support
