R.E.A.C.H. Volunteers help refugee families feel welcomed, supported, and confident as they adjust to life in Central Wisconsin. This flexible role blends family check‑ins, one‑time practical tasks, and resource navigation to strengthen resilience, empowerment, advocacy, community engagement, and hope — the core values of the R.E.A.C.H. Program. Volunteers work closely with the R.E.A.C.H. Coordinator and New Beginnings for Refugees to ensure families have what they need to thrive. What You’ll DoConnect with families through check‑ins and supportive visits Help navigate community systems such as housing, transportation, healthcare, employment, and basic needs Assist with one‑time tasks like picking up donations, delivering items, or coordinating appointments Support ELL program components when needed Share observations and updates with the R.E.A.C.H. Coordinator to ensure continuity of care Build trusting, culturally respectful relationships with parents and youth Why It MattersYour support helps families navigate unfamiliar systems, build confidence, and feel truly welcomed in their new community.
