Volunteer: Wausau Night Market VolunteersThis award-winning event series wouldn’t happen without our amazing volunteers! Help bring downtown to life by supporting one of Wausau’s favorite summer traditions. Whether you’re looking to give back, meet new people, or experience the event from behind the scenes, we’d love to have you join us. Volunteer orientation will take place at our office next to Object Homewares at the beginning of each shift. River District staff will provide instructions and support throughout the event. We need three kinds of volunteers: Event Set-Up: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm 6 Volunteers Needed Help transform downtown before the crowds arrive! Volunteers will assist with closing streets, placing signage and garbage stations, and setting up our information tent. Requirements: Must be comfortable walking for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs. Vendor Check-In: 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm 7 Volunteers Needed Be the friendly face that welcomes our vendors to the market. Volunteers will help check vendors in, direct them to their assigned location, and answer basic arrival questions using materials provided by the River District. No experience needed — all information and instructions will be provided. Event Clean Up: 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm The more the merrier! Help us wrap up another successful Night Market. Volunteers will assist with collecting signage and equipment, returning materials to the office, and reopening streets. This shift goes quickly and makes a huge difference to our small team!
