NAMI Northwoods (National Alliance on Mental Illness)

Who We Are

At NAMI Northwoods, we show up for people navigating mental health; whether you’re living with it yourself or supporting someone you love.

Everything we offer is led by people with lived experience. That means the support is real, the conversations are honest, and no one has to pretend they’re okay when they’re not.

We provide free support groups, education, and community-based programs across Marathon, Lincoln, and Langlade Counties.

Because mental health is not something anyone should have to figure out alone.

What We Do

NAMI Northwoods delivers free mental health support, education, and advocacy throughout our community, powered by trained volunteers with lived experience.

Our work includes:

Leading peer and family support groups where people can speak openly and find connection

Teaching education programs that help individuals and families understand mental health and recovery

Supporting youth through school-based clubs and presentations that reduce stigma early

Partnering with local organizations to expand awareness and access to resources

Much of this work is made possible by volunteers who choose to turn their experience into support for others.
