Bridge Street Mission

Who We Are

Bridge Street Mission:

  • Began as a family doing Saturday grill‑outs to build relationships with neighbors experiencing homelessness.

  • Officially launched in 2016, serving meals from a small church at 115 W Bridge Street.

  • Expanded in 2017 with the Sober Living Center at 1140 W Bridge Street.

  • Continued growing until 2023, when a new building at 325 N 1st Ave allowed for more meals, shelter, and recovery programming.

Client Quote:But today, here, now I know I have worth and am valued...I’ll be forever grateful for all that the Lord has blessed me with. Thank you to the Mission for embracing me with open, loving, caring arms...

Volunteer Quote:...this place gave me hope while I looked for work. Now that I have a job, I still come by to share my story and sometimes I volunteer cleaning. It feels good to give back to the community that helped us.

Our Impact (2025):

  • 462 people met in housing crisis
  • 25,000 meals served
  • 700 referrals and 95 placements into better situations
  • 9 men moved into their own homes through recovery programming (43 total in the last 4 years)
  • First women expected to graduate from recovery programming in 2027 (our program runs for 9 months)
