Wausau Metro Adult Special Olympics
Wausau Metro Adult Special Olympics, part of Special Olympics Wisconsin, offers year‑round sports, fitness, and community experiences for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Our mission is simple: every person deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and included — both on and off the playing field.
We are a fully volunteer‑led program powered by people who believe in dignity, friendship, and opportunity. Volunteers help athletes build confidence, stay active, and experience the joy of being part of a team.
Every interaction is a chance to transform lives — including your own.
Our program offers multiple ways to get involved throughout the year. Volunteers support practices, invitationals, and weekend competitions. No experience needed — just patience, encouragement, and a willingness to have fun.
