Shift: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday (year-round)
Time Commitment: One 4-hour shift per week (or as available)

Do you enjoy art, meeting new people, and spending time in a beautiful, inspiring environment?
The Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art is seeking friendly and reliable volunteers to serve as Gallery Attendants, Museum Docents, and Reception Volunteers. This role is perfect for someone who appreciates art and culture, enjoys interacting with people, and wants to help create a welcoming experience for every visitor.
You do not need to be an artist or art expert. If you enjoy learning, are comfortable chatting with visitors, and appreciate the value of arts in our community, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Welcome visitors as they arrive
Serve as a friendly first point of contact for museum guests
Answer basic questions about the museum, exhibitions, and programs
Track daily visitor attendance
Help maintain a pleasant gallery environment
Lightly straighten gallery spaces as needed
Perform occasional light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, or tidying visitor areas
Monitor galleries to help ensure artwork remains safe and respected
Share information about upcoming exhibitions, events, and programs when appropriate
