Time 8-4:30

Description

Reception volunteers are the front line to greeting guests coming into the agency Handshake

Our guests range from victims who are walking through our doors:

» First time service seekers

» Long-time clients

» Other Service Providers

» System partners like law enforcement

» Local news stations

» & Many more!

Being the first person guests see is very important to how people are welcomed here. Volunteers in reception provide administrative support for the agency.

They perform reception duties like:

» Transferring calls

» Providing general information regarding our services

» Intake donations

» Triaging callers to appropriate programs or other community resources

Volunteers must follow all agency policies and procedures, including the training required to volunteer. Must be 18 years old for this position. Some training is required. This role is mainly stationary, mostly sitting but able to stand as needed, but needs to operate an analog phone, a desktop computer to use Outlook email, and buttons to open the door. General need is weekdays from 1p to 4:30p.
