Japanese-Inspired Garden | Part sun and shade, Pond-Side
As the season warms up at Monk Botanical Gardens, we're looking for volunteers to help keep our grounds beautiful and thriving. Tucked along the pond, the Meditation Garden brings a sense of calm and intention to the grounds. One of the older installations at Monk Botanical Gardens, it hasn't always received the attention it deserves — but its prominent location makes it one of the most important spaces to keep looking its best. Your work here will help restore and maintain a peaceful, scenic space enjoyed by everyone who visits. Better yet, bring a friend and make a day of it!
What You'll Do
- Shrub trimming and tree care
- Weeding and general bed upkeep
- Helping with seasonal cleanup and restoration of a pond-side garden space
Who We're Looking For
Volunteers who appreciate quiet, focused work in a serene setting. A steady hand and a patient approach go a long way here. No formal experience required — just a willingness to dig in and a love for the outdoors. This is a great opportunity to volunteer solo, bring a friend, or meet like-minded community members who share a love for the outdoors.
Why Volunteer With Us
The work you do will be seen and felt every day. It's a chance to get outside, reconnect with nature, and take pride in a space that brings calm and beauty to everyone who passes through. Bring your crew, make some new friends, and help something beautiful grow.
Time Commitment: Flexible — one-time or ongoing, based on your availability.
