Opportunity Description
Help provide nutritious meals and a welcoming environment for community members experiencing food insecurity. As a Community Meal Volunteer, you will work alongside Salvation Army staff and other volunteers to prepare, serve, and clean up meals for approximately 75 to 100 guests. Your support helps ensure that every guest is treated with dignity, kindness, and respect.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and basic kitchen tasks
- Serve meals to guests during community meal service
- Help create a welcoming and positive dining experience
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas after meal service
- Work collaboratively with staff and fellow volunteers

Skills Needed
- No prior experience required
- Friendly and respectful attitude
- Willingness to work as part of a team

Physical Requirements
- Standing for extended periods
- Reaching, bending, and walking throughout the kitchen and dining area
- Ability to lift and carry light to moderate items
Age Requirements
Must be at least 14 years old. Volunteers under 18 may require parental consent.
