The Wisconsin Board on Aging and Long Term Care advocates for older adults and adults with disabilities, ensuring they receive respectful, high‑quality care across long‑term care settings.
Our team works to protect consumer rights, amplify the voices of residents, and support individuals and families as they navigate care systems.
We serve the Wausau area and the entire state by helping long‑term care consumers understand their options, exercise their rights, and feel supported throughout their care journey.

Support Informed Decision‑Making — Help individuals and families understand care options so they can choose what best meets their needs.
Long‑Term Care Ombudsman Program — Provide confidential, resident‑centered advocacy for people living in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other long‑term care settings.
