Senior Medicare Patrol

Who We Are

The Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) mission is to empower and assist Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, abuse, and errors through outreach, counseling, and education. SMP is in every county in Wisconsin and our volunteers play a vital role in carrying out this mission across the state. Volunteer involvement ranges from staffing a booth at fairs and outreach events, to giving group presentations. By volunteering with SMP you can invest in your community, educating beneficiaries on how to prevent Medicare fraud.

What We Do

The Senior Medicare Patrol provides information on the scope of fraud and how to protect Prevent, Detect and Report healthcare fraud, errors and abuse.  Our work takes us to every corner of Wisconsin, meeting Medicare beneficiaries, their families and caregivers. We provide educational presentations, attend health and senior fairs and attend outreach events.
