Seeking: Construct-It Kids volunteer staff!
At: Children’s Imaginarium
When: October 3rd, 2026 – 8am-1pm
Do you love construction vehicles?
Then you’ll love to help us set up, tear down, and staff our Construct-It Kids event!
Here’s what visitors can expect:
- Try real tools & building techniques
- Touch-a-Truck: Explore real construction vehicles
- Meet local trade professionals
- STEM-focused stations for fun learning
We need your help to set up this event in the morning (8am-9:30am), staff the event (9am-12pm), and tear down the event (11:30am-1pm). Sign up individually or as a group! If you want to help us for the whole event or want to help but need different hours, that can be arranged. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Responsibilities:
- First shift:
o Set up decorations and supplies as needed for the Construct-It Kids event.
- Second shift:
o Help staff the event; be a runner, go between, etc. to ensure the event runs smoothly.
- Third shift:
o Tear down decorations and supplies as needed to end the Construct-It Kids event.
Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, sit, lift, and otherwise move for extended periods of time.
Why you matter: According to the Habitat for Humanity foundation, many studies show that volunteering positively benefits psychological and even physical health. Not to mention the positive impacts on the people your volunteer work services! Volunteer work can also help increase professional contacts, improve or develop skills, and give work experience that can help you look better to employers!
